Lesson 1 of 9 · Video + questions
Welcome & Vision
Welcome. If you're watching this, someone saw something in you — and you said yes to finding out what leading a group could look like. That's worth pausing on.
This is a culture, not a checklist
There's plenty of practical information ahead: what a gathering looks like, what we ask of leaders, how to build a team. But that's not the point of this course. The point is to introduce you to a culture — a church full of disciples who make disciples. The nuts and bolts serve that; they aren't the goal.
Somebody did this for you
Nobody grows in isolation. Every one of us can name a person who took time, asked a question, told us the truth, or simply kept showing up. That's what you're being invited into now — on the other side of it.
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”
