Lesson 4 of 4 · 12 min
The Church & New Creation
The story doesn't end at the empty tomb. Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit on His followers (Acts 2) and sent them to every nation — and that mission is how the gospel eventually reached you.
What the church is
The church isn't a building or an event; it's the family of everyone who belongs to Jesus — called to worship God, grow together, and serve the world. That's why we keep saying it at the Grove: belong, believe, become.
How the story ends
The Bible ends where it began — a garden, now a garden-city: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more" (Revelation 21:4). Heaven is not an escape from creation but the renewal of it.
Living in the meantime
We live between the resurrection and the renewal — which means every act of love, justice, and witness now is a preview of the world to come.
“Behold, I am making all things new.”
Revelation 21:5
