James 5:16
James connects confession and prayer. Healing begins when hiding gives way to honesty.
Confession means agreeing with God about what is true. Sometimes you carry pain caused by another person’s sin. Sometimes your own choices, words, silence, resentment, or retaliation have added to the wound. Often both are present.
Practice
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what is yours to confess. Write one honest sentence. Then, if it is wise and safe, share it with a mature believer who will pray with you and protect your confidence.
Prayer
Merciful God, show me what I need to confess. Give me courage to tell the truth without condemning myself or blaming others. Thank You that Jesus meets my confession with forgiveness and grace. Amen.
